Random Fun...

A few weeks ago we bought some flowers for the planters outside...we picked out flowers at Menards...in the rain! They did not have a good selection at all...so I still need to get a few more flowers and baskets. Our plan for this year is to plant our little perennial flower garden...we will see if it gets done!
Jon is very particular on grass...he agonises over which grass seed to get much the same way I agonise over which shoes to wear...pathetic really! He must do okay picking out the seed though...we have new grass growing where it was planted!

James was a very big helper while I was planting the flowers...he was very good at tasting all that black dirt from the bag...and I am sad to say my lovely flowers have not lasted very long...James enjoys plucking all the brightly coloured flowers off! Thank goodness he can't reach the window box or the hanging baskets so I will have some flowers!

I love the difference between James and Elsie...Elsie can happily play outside with her dolls with hours...with not a speck of mud and dirt on her...

James, on the other hand, is like a magnet to mud and dirt...it is not uncommon for James to go through at least 4 outfits a day! This boy knows how to play...

And he is very busy...he feels that it is his duty to push the wagon completely over every time he sees it upright. He is learning how to climb into the wagon...I am happy to say that so far his little legs are just a bit too short!

Elsie is just a happy girl to be outside...she loves to bring her dollies out...she could play house all day long! She does know how to get dirty outside though...Just tonight both the kids had to take a long soaking bath in an attempt to get those summer feet somewhat clean!

Elsie is never found far from her dress up shoes...more than once she has managed to wear them to town even! She always wears mis-matched shoes...and more often than not they are on the wrong feet. At least she wears shoes...her brother is going through an anti-shoes phase...as soon as I put shoes on him off them come. I must look like quite the careless mom when we go out...one child in mis-matched dress up shoes...another child with no shoes at all! Love watching both their little personalities emerge!
