Santa went walking right past the big windows in the living room (I think Santa left the reindeer out on the road due to the snow storm passing through!)...immediately most of the little kids started to scream...not in excitement...oh no, in terror! What is it kids don't like about Santa?
In the house Santa came with a big "Ho,ho, ho!"...complete with jingle bells and all...Oh yes, and a bag full of gifts...because only good little boys and girls were at Grammie and Papa Wayne's house!
This is what James looked like when he first saw Santa...just a bit surprised I think!
Even though all the kids soon recognized Santa to be their beloved Papa Wayne, they wanted nothing to do with sitting with him...or even talking to him! Marissa and Emma knew all along who the man in red was...but they enjoyed playing along for the sake of their niece and nephews...
Being that James is just a baby, he did go (or rather was placed with) to Santa...I was hoping to get a few pictures of James with Santa for his first Christmas...earlier in the week we took James and Elsie to the mall and payed $15 for 2 not so good pictures with the kids and the mall Santa...these pictures turned out a bit better!
The kids warmed up a bit when Santa opened up his bag and started handing out little gifts...suckers, candy canes, colour books, crayons...Santa had some fun stuff! While Elsie was not about to get close to Santa she was quick to speak up and announce that she wanted the Strawberry Shortcake colour book he was holding!
Since none of the Children wanted to sit on Santa's lap...Jon was quite willing to sit on Santa's lap...the Kids thought it was pretty funny!
