Valentine Pictures...

We always do special Valentine Pictures of the kids...then we have little Valentine cards made to hand out to the Aunties, Uncles and Grandparents. This morning we made a quick little trip to the dollar store for some photo props...and we found these adorable little rub-on tattoos...James looks so tough with one on his fat little arm...
I had the photo shoot area all set up, clothes on the kids, camera all ready to go...but soon discovered it was far to hard to keep James in one place and take a picture at the same time...one phone call to the aunties and they were on their way to assist! Thanks, Laura and Lisa!

James looks like such a little man in these pictures...Elsie was trying to help me make James smile...she did get him to smile...just not at the camera...oh well!
James...the ever curious little guy...I really don't think he ever sits still!

James new favorite thing to do...standing up...What happened to my tiny little baby?! They grow up far to fast...
These are the best ones we got of the two of them together...James would not stand still...and Elsie decided she was done having her pictures taken...

We thought if brought out some candy for the two of them to share everything would be okay and some great pictures would be the result...
As soon as Elsie realized how much I wanted to take pictures she decided she did not want her picture taken...so I had to sneak some...
These pictures tell the story of just how wrong we were about thinking candy was a good idea...James just wanted the whole thing...all for himself...no sharing!
The end result was James pulling his sister's hair in hopes of her giving in and handing the candy over! He did get a few more licks then it was put away...and the photo shoot was over! This picture makes me want to laugh...
I am pleased with the pictures today...they are all so special...even the ones that "didn't turn out" are special in their own way...because they all tell a sweet little story! Our new camera lens came...but it didn't fit...so for now I stole the lens off one of my parents cameras...but it is a manual focus only...it is just a little tough to photograph 2 small children with a manual lens! I will certainly appreciate an auto focus a little more from now on!

ohmygosh, shasta!! these pics are adorable! i love them!

the tattoos are so cool - i think i'll have to make a trip into town and get the kids some and send some down for oliver, too. :)

and i think it's so funny that james is soo busy - what a guy! several of you kids began walking at 9 and 10 months old - so, since he's half ostrowski, he very well might be walking in just a few short months, too. whoa! oh well, better get used to it! it'll be a busy time for sure, but oh-so-fun!!

lovelovelove the pics - you did a great job!
