A Lovely Spring Day...

Today the temp reached almost 50' outside~ a very welcome change from snow and below zero temps! When we came home from church Elsie refused to come inside...she was happy just to stand outside. We did talk her into coming in for some warmer clothes than Jon brought her on a walk to the store for the newspaper. Even after the walk she still wanted to play outside...so I put her yellow mud boots on her and we went out to plash in all the melting snow...
I firmly believe that every child needs a pair of mud boots to explore the outside with...

I think it is interesting that no child needs to be taught about the fun of walking and splashing in mud puddles...rather it is the parents than need to be taught of the importance of the puddles! It took Elsie 1 time of accidentally walking in the puddle to discover what fun it is!

Hopefully spring is really here and we can look forward to enjoying many more afternoons spent outside!
