Icee Maker...

Years ago...when I was still a nanny and didn't have my own children...I bought this Icee Maker...it looked like so much fun! Now that I am a mother and my child wants me to make her Icee's I find myself hating this thing! Seriously, have you ever had to turn the handle for easily 20 min strait? With no results I might add! I wanted to quit in the first 3 min but Elsie was literally jumping around the kitchen in pure excitement...singing songs about eating an Icee...
I finally convinced Elsie that the Icee maker was broken...so we took out the little KitchenAid Food Processor...filled it with ice-cubes and in about 1 min we had plenty of perfect crushed ice for Icee's! I would highly recommend this method to all people...unless you enjoy torment yourself!

A perfect afternoon snack...though I was told it tastes best when more than one straw is used!

Throughout it all James was happy to hang out in his high chair with is pink sippy and an Applesauce Muffin...

Looks like she was quite happy with her Icee...even if I did lie to her about the Icee Maker being broken...Or maybe the super happy face is just because she was full of plenty of sugar from the red juice!
