We are lucky to live
right between two counties...
so every year we get to go to 2 county fairs!
This year the kids managed to talk us
into bringing them to
each fair 3 times!
The little Fair a few miles from home
was the best one...
nice and quiet without crowds of people.
One evening we met
Grammie, Papa Wayne,
the aunties, Uncle Colter,
Ceara and Ted at the fair...
My kids all have the famous
'Souhrada gag reflex"...
which is triggered by smells.
So the animal barns are kinda zipped through super fast.
Sometimes the kids
chose to not even go in the barns
simply because of the smell!
My kids are not huge animal people...
but they got brave a few times and pet
a few of the animals!
Angelina was happy to just ride in the stroller
or be passed around from person
to person...
We let the kids each pick out a few rides to go on..
They were so excited to go on the
little motorbikes!
Elsie choose pink...
James choose orange!
They were so excited to go on the
little motorbikes!
Elsie choose pink...
James choose orange!
I do not do rides at all...
I get motion sick quite easily!
So Papa Wayne and Grammie volunteered to
bring James and Elsie on the
the Ferris wheel!
The kids were so excited!
And it just so happened that they were able
to sit in an orange bucket...
made James day!
Elsie get motion sickness pretty badly too...
so she was a little nervous...
but she kept her wrist bands on
and did just fine!
Brave girl!
I have an obsessive amount of
Ferris wheel pictures...
but the kids were just so excited...
and I was so excited for them
to be able to ride the Ferris wheel!
I am very cheep when it comes to
fair games...
I think they are slightly over priced!
So I let my kids play one game...
and they each walked away with
a super cheep stuffed animal...
which they proclaimed was a favorite toy and
slept with it for 2 nights...
then they promptly forgot all about it!
We did the fair.
Because no summer is complete without going to
the local fair!
And just like every year...
since I was a little girl...
we bought a bag of cotton candy on the
way out of the fair...
and we shared it in the car.
The cotton candy is the best part of the fair!
