Visiting Daddy...

We have been pretty lucky...

since Angelina has been born

Jon has been worked close enough to home

that he has been able to come home in the evenings

for a couple weeks!

On the other hand, he has also had

to be gone for 2 week tours again...

I much prefer the days he gets to come home!

We are very blessed that Jon has a very good

job...a job that keeps

his 'on the go' personality very satisfied...

no one can say he isn't a worker!

Jon takes after his mother...

quite often I need to tell him to slow down,

take time off and remember to take

time for himself,too!

Last week since Jon was working close to home,

the kids and I called up

Ceara and Braylon and we all took off

for a little road trip to see Jon at work!

When I asked Jon for direction he told me what road to

turn on and to

'just watch for a tower, you can't miss it'...

Thankfully we drove right to it...

after passing at least 4 other towers on that road!

It was a very cold and windy day...

so our visit didn't last too long.

Jon was just working on the ground that day...

sometimes he climbs way up to the top

of the tower...

James wants to watch Daddy climb someday!

The kids brought Daddy some

french fries for lunch!

They talked for a little bit,

looked around at everything...

gave hugs good bye...

Then it was back in the car for the ride home.

I suppose it was perfect waste of time and gas

to drive all that way for a quick 15~20 min visit...

But sometimes memories and

making your heart happy

means the most!
