Peek...

When I am cooking or doing the dishes James likes to play in the dining room...I love that he needs to be close to me, yet just far enough away so he feels like he is in his own little world. Most days his favorite place to play is on top of the table. I am not sure what is so fascinating about playing up there, but is sure keeps him happy for a long time. He just lays on the table, talking to himself...

 When he notices  I am watching him from the kitchen, he quickly slides back into his highchair...

 In a one-year-old mind...cover your face with your hands makes you completely invisible to others...

 After I call, "James, James where did you go?" a couple times...he pulls his arms back with an adorable little smile! We replay this same scene several times a day, every day...never gets old to him!
