We parked in the parking lot across the street and watched the action...they were working on taking the tower town...so it was fun to watch! Soon the kids got hungry and James got tired...so we went to the store and got some treats...and James took a little nap...
Jon...with the outstretched arm...way up high...thank goodness for safety harnesses!
This picture was taken by Jon's mom...Jon was laying down way up on the top of the tower...Jon works lot of long hours...and usually with not much of a break during the day...so I guess you just gotta rest when you can!
A picture from Jon's camera...standing under the tower looking way up. The very idea of climbing up that far makes my knees shake...
Jon must have taken a self- portrait...because I did not climb up that far and take a picture of him!
Jon took this picture of his fans (us!) from way up high...a huge optical zoom thus a very blurry picture...but fun anyhow!
*A little note about Jon...around here we know how to play pretty good...and as Jon says, "playing hard is not for wusses"...and he means it! In 2 weeks Jon is scheduled to have knee surgery. Several months ago he slipped and fell on mud and ice while having an ice/mud fight one weekend...he now has a pretty significantly tore his meniscus...thus needs surgery to remove the tear in the cartilage. No fun for him...good news is that it is a simple out patient surgery...and in 4 weeks time he will be almost as good as new! We are going to make the most of his 4 weeks at home and have as much family time as possible...and Elsie and I will make excellent nurses to tend to Jon's every need...

oh, these are really great pictures! very interesting! i admire jon for doing what he loves doing, regardless of what others may think. he's a happy man and does his job well and provides very well for his family - he's doing a great job and others just need to back off and stop with their opinions. oh, and you forgot to write about his promotions - and that he's leading his own crew already. yay, jon!!
