We know how our children react to too much candy...so they just got a couple peeps, a couple suckers and some jelly beans...and some fun little trinkets! They also had 2 gift to open together...some bubble bath and a new water sprinkler!
James found his Easter basket hiding in the TV stand...what fun to find a basket of treasures in a place where you are normally told not to play!
Elsie found her basket hiding behind the end table! Elsie thought it was fun to have to find the basket rather than just have it sitting on the end table...a fun little family tradition...
James quickly put the sucker in his mouth...with the wrapper still on!
We did let him eat 2 bites of his Peep before we took it away...Normally we don't let him have candy...but since this was his 1st Easter we let him eat a couple bites!

Our family hid Easter baskets too. I remember on year we were remodeling one of the bathrooms and the new toilet was sitting in the hallway. One of my brothers found his in there. Somehow it seemed so fitting. :-)
