I have a thing for clothing...maybe because I am a girl! When we first found out James was a boy my greatest fear was "How will I dress a BOY!" I would wander around the stores...but always found myself back in the pink department...after awhile I began to get more and more comfortable with all the little boy clothes. I have discovered that pastels and most anything with the colour blue is just not an option...James has a big more of a "punk" style...skull and crossbones, orange, logo t-shirts with thermals under them, jeans with faded knees and don't forget the camo!
I have a chunk of fabric with the skull and crossbones design...I was planning on making a bib out it...but we are not a fan of bibs around here...so we have decided it makes the perfect skull cap for the little guy! Elsie and I were just playing around one day and put it on his head...does look cute and he kept it on for a while! I think I see more skull caps this summer in this little pirate boy's future...

aww, cute!! and yeah, pastels on a boy (no matter how young or old) just should never be an option...and pink should never be allowed on a boy, period. i like the style you have going for james...very cool. and i remember those days of not knowing how to dress a boy - after having had so many girls, i had no clue how i should dress your brother. but we figured it out and now thats he's older he does his own thing --- and he's ALL BOY, that's for sure, and i know james will be the same way. yay, for boys!!
love it and love his style, too!!
