Fair Days...

Yesterday Jon, Elsie and I went to the local county fair...We went to watch the horse racing...One of the boys I was a nanny for before Jon and I were married was racing his horse...so it was fun to watch...
Elsie had fun watching...when one horse was done she was saying "more" to see more horses run ans jump...
I don't think I would be brave enough to jump with a horse!
This year Laura and Lisa each entered some handmade items in the fair...and they each won a 2nd place ribbon! Lisa entered her knit baby booties in the children's contest...and she got a ribbon...way to go Lisa!
Laura entered a crochet hat in the regular adult group and won 2nd place! Good job girls!
Walking out of the fair Jon and I noticed this old pickup-truck with a very full dash...and I just had to take a picture...I love the "I'd rather be..." sign in the window...I think it should be finished off with "clean!"

nooo - you got that wrong, shasta! BOTH laura & lisa entered their items in the *ADULT* catergory --- so their items were being judged against lots of other items that were made by both adults and teens --- and they both won 2nd place. PLUS, we just found out tonight that laura also won 3rd place for the baby hat that she crochet. sooo- lisa won a 2nd place - and laura won a 2nd *and* a 3rd place ribbon. how cool is that?!!
