Elsie enjoyed seeing the animals...but she enjoyed people-watching even more!
Elsie is going through an "independent stage" and would not ride in the stroller at all yesterday...she had to walk! She does walk very slowly and has to point out all the little rocks, garbage, leaves, grass and anything else she found! So Jon and I got to see the zoo from a toddlers perspective...Elsie thought an old straw on the sidewalk was far more fascinating than a baby giraffe!
Sitting on the bench with daddy trying to figure out where to go next...
There was only one little "melt-down" right before we left...I think her legs were tired, she had a hungry tummy and just was not happy...
All was better the moment she noticed ducks floating in the pond! She was quite contented to just watch the ducks and make a"quack-ing" sound to them!
This "jungle" room was fun...Elsie was a little too tired to enjoy it much...she was rather tired out so daddy had to carry her!
This was Elsie's favorite...all the ponds outside the zoo entrance! We didn't see any "Do not touch" signs...so we figured it was fine to let Elsie have some fun! She was having lots of fun here...splashing and seeing how deep her arms could go! She wanted to get in so bad...but I thought that might be taking things too far!

what a fun outing! we haven't been to como park zoo in awhile - we'll have to try to make a trip down there sometime, too.
she's such a funny little girl - and she does a very good rendition of a monkey!!
