Our New Adventure...

For the last few months Jon and I have been learning more about adoption and foster care...Right now we are beginning the process of becoming licensed foster parents! Today we went to the local police station for the finger printing...neither of us had ever been finger-printed before...so it was a neat experience! The police officer did give a little chuckle when I asked if I could please take some pictures!
With in the next few weeks we will be having our home study done...our social worker is hoping we will have our license by the end of July...so exciting!
There is still lots of paperwork to do...why there is always so much paper work I don't know! We are being licensed for children under 1 with the intentions of adoption. We are also in the process of finding the right private adoption organization and saving money to hopefully be able to adopt . Both Jon and I love children and would love to make our family larger...several years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS after being on medication for a mission trip to Africa...We realize now that Elsie is our "miracle baby"...Rather than try fertility treatments to make our family larger we are hoping to find our next child through adoption! This is an exciting journey...we still don't know what to expect...or for sure what we are doing...but it seems that God has it all under control for us if we just have patients and are willing to listen!
