Corners Of My Cottage...

We keep 3 little baskets of toys under the end table in the living room...
Elsie's little play area in the Living Room...we don't keep many toys out for her to help encourage imaginative and creative play...I think the mirror is her favorite part of her play area...
The black dresser in the Dining Room...lots of red for Valentine's Day!

The counter in the Kitchen...

The basket of hats, scarves and gloves in the entry...another favorite place for Elsie to play! Please note that my floor is not really as dirty as it looks in this photo!

you're a smart mama ... too many parents now-days think their young kids need to have a ton of toys placed in front of them so they can "play" ... it's all hogwash!! kids do not need lots of bright colors or lots of plastic or lots of buttons to push so those toys make noise and they certainly do not need toys all around them!! it all creates over-stimulation! (maybe that's part of the reason why so many kids are being diagnosed with ADD...) kids really need very little to be happy and content ... i say give them only a few favorite toys at a time and give them lots of space to roam and explore. they'll be happier and more content and they'll most certainly be more creative and imaginative!

you're doing a good job!!

I really like all the reds you have in your home - it looks very homey and cozy.

see ya tomorrow...
