Baptism Day...
We had James baptised on August 8th...he was 3 1/2 weeks old...we had a lovely private private ceremony...
Just family...grandparent, aunts, uncles, and great grandparents were present...
James wore a long white gown...even though Daddy thought boys should not! We bought his gown at the same place where we bought Elsie's gown..."One Small Child". Our hope is that we can give each of our children a special gown so someday they can have their children baptised in the dress...a special heirloom to pass down...
We choose to have my sister Laura to be the sponsor for James...
James, Grammie and Papa Wayne after the baptism...James baptism day was also Grammie's 50th Birthday...a special day for both!
After the ceremony everyone came to our house for lunch, cake and visiting...I love having our house full of people...
It was a terribly hot day outside...and eating outside was much cooler than indoors!
Lots of people, good food, laughter and memories...
A little sandbox fun for the kids...
James was a super good baby all day...he fell asleep during the ceremony and throughout most of the lunch...so sweet...

Still here...
we have been having one issue after another with our computer so I have not been able to blog in far to long!
James is growing like a weed...he is now 8 weeks old! Elsie is still quite in love with her brother...such a good big sister. One day Elsie even quickly caught James spit up in her hand so it wouldn't get on his new shirt! I don't think I would have done that!
With any luck I will be back to blogging regularly very soon...I have lots of pictures and little stories to share...

Photo Shoot...
These photos are also from a few weeks ago...I think James was about 2 weeks old...one day my Mom and I set up the big back drop outside...and she took some pictures of the kids and I. There were literally tons of photos she took...so these are just some of them...It was a hard choice to pick a few for the blog!
These pictures are so sweet and special...I am so glad we took these pictures...

Elsie and Mommy...Elsie does not like to have formal pictures taken...so these were a challenge...but at least we got a few!Bath Time...
James got his first bath when he was 1 week old...I washed his face every day but that was all...I wanted him to soak in as much vernix as possible. So when he was 7 days old he finally got his first bath. Elsie was so excited to help bathe him! We have discovered that James loves his bath...loves it to the point of falling asleep in the tub every time he has a bath! Sometimes when Elsie is having a bath we put James in the tub with her...I just lay him on my arm and let him relax...Elsie loves sharing her bath with James...until he pees than it is a different story!

Sweetness...
An Artist...
Elsie has been quite an artist lately...she loves to colour and draw. Her favorite thing to use is crayons...it seems most kids prefer markers...but Elsie has to be different!
With all the back-to-school sales going on we have been stocking up on art supplies...we even bought some coloured pencils and a little sharpener...her pencils now have both ends sharpened!

Got Miilk?
These pictures are from when James was about a week old...and they remind me of the "Got Milk" ads...after he got done nursing and I layed him down I noticed he had milk dripping off his chin and lips...
sleeping so peacefully! So far James has proven to be a very contented baby and a good sleeper...
Sister Time...
I usually pump a couple ounces of breast milk everyday for James...and Elsie seems to think it is great fun to feed it to her brother! Elsie knows just how to hold the bottle...what a great big sister...
I think James will get quite a bit of mothering from his big sister!
Love this picture...a typical girl...pink nails and holding a baby...
