Baptism Day...

We had James baptised on August 8th...he was 3 1/2 weeks old...we had a lovely private private ceremony...
Just family...grandparent, aunts, uncles, and great grandparents were present...
James wore a long white gown...even though Daddy thought boys should not! We bought his gown at the same place where we bought Elsie's gown..."One Small Child". Our hope is that we can give each of our children a special gown so someday they can have their children baptised in the dress...a special heirloom to pass down...
We choose to have my sister Laura to be the sponsor for James...
James, Grammie and Papa Wayne after the baptism...James baptism day was also Grammie's 50th Birthday...a special day for both!
After the ceremony everyone came to our house for lunch, cake and visiting...I love having our house full of people...
It was a terribly hot day outside...and eating outside was much cooler than indoors!
Lots of people, good food, laughter and memories...
A little sandbox fun for the kids...
James was a super good baby all day...he fell asleep during the ceremony and throughout most of the lunch...so sweet...

Since everyone was all together we took lots of picture...the whole Ostrowski crew...just a small family!
Grandma B. and Patrick with the kids...Elsie was hot and pooped out and did not want her picture taken at all!
After most of the people left we remembered to open gifts...we are terrible at remember to open gifts...as it was we almost forgot to serve the cake! Sometimes things just get to busy...
James had a lovely baptism day...surrounded by family...

Still here...

we have been having one issue after another with our computer so I have not been able to blog in far to long!
James is growing like a weed...he is now 8 weeks old! Elsie is still quite in love with her brother...such a good big sister. One day Elsie even quickly caught James spit up in her hand so it wouldn't get on his new shirt! I don't think I would have done that!
With any luck I will be back to blogging regularly very soon...I have lots of pictures and little stories to share...

Photo Shoot...

These photos are also from a few weeks ago...I think James was about 2 weeks old...one day my Mom and I set up the big back drop outside...and she took some pictures of the kids and I. There were literally tons of photos she took...so these are just some of them...It was a hard choice to pick a few for the blog! These pictures are so sweet and special...I am so glad we took these pictures...

Elsie and Mommy...Elsie does not like to have formal pictures taken...so these were a challenge...but at least we got a few!

This one is my favorite...love it! While we were doing this shoot I was getting frustrated because Elsie would not sit how I wanted her to...guess she knew what she was doing!

Sleeping so peacefully...

Toes...love those sweet little toes...Gotta love baby cuddles...

Sister and Brother...I think these two will be best friends...and probably drive me crazy getting into mischief together!
Motherhood is wonderfull...I wouldn't change my life for anything...

I feel so blessed and lucky...

Bath Time...

James got his first bath when he was 1 week old...I washed his face every day but that was all...I wanted him to soak in as much vernix as possible. So when he was 7 days old he finally got his first bath. Elsie was so excited to help bathe him! We have discovered that James loves his bath...loves it to the point of falling asleep in the tub every time he has a bath! Sometimes when Elsie is having a bath we put James in the tub with her...I just lay him on my arm and let him relax...Elsie loves sharing her bath with James...until he pees than it is a different story!

Sweetness...

These are some older pictures from a few weeks ago...I think James was 2 weeks old at the time...they were just to sweet not to share...
toes in the grass...
Big sister and little brother's toes...
Elsie loves her brother...I think she might be the best big sister ever...so helpful and caring...
There is no end to all the kisses and lovin' James gets!
James is growing so much...today he was wearing a 0-3 month outfit and it fit perfectly!
Such a sweet baby...perfect in every way...(I can say that because I am his mommy!)

An Artist...

Elsie has been quite an artist lately...she loves to colour and draw. Her favorite thing to use is crayons...it seems most kids prefer markers...but Elsie has to be different!
With all the back-to-school sales going on we have been stocking up on art supplies...we even bought some coloured pencils and a little sharpener...her pencils now have both ends sharpened!
Elsie has recently learned how to draw people...her notebook is full of drawings of people! She does a very good job drawing for her age...a big circle for the head, 2 lines coming out of the head for the legs, 2 dots for eyes and a big line for a smile...and now even very colourful hair!

Got Miilk?

These pictures are from when James was about a week old...and they remind me of the "Got Milk" ads...after he got done nursing and I layed him down I noticed he had milk dripping off his chin and lips...
sleeping so peacefully! So far James has proven to be a very contented baby and a good sleeper...
There is something so lovable about little baby feet...

and little baby fingers...
so sleepy...and peaceful...

Sister Time...

I usually pump a couple ounces of breast milk everyday for James...and Elsie seems to think it is great fun to feed it to her brother! Elsie knows just how to hold the bottle...what a great big sister...
I think James will get quite a bit of mothering from his big sister!
Love this picture...a typical girl...pink nails and holding a baby...
and pink and purple toes...because sometimes the decision to go pink or purple is just far to difficult!
I thought these would be cute pictures...James was happily laying on the bed with a full tummy...but Elsie was being a little stinker...
She was trying a bit too hard at the smiling thing! And she would not sit still long enough for the camera to focus!
Looks like she had enough! Those are quite the evil eyes! At least James was happy the entire time...
