Bounce...Bounce...Bounce

Jumping is Elsie's very favourite thing to do! She loves the johnny-jump-up...but she will also just jump, jump, jump any time she wants in your arms. The pictures are blurry but she just would not stand still long enough to take a good picture! She sure is building strong leg mussels for learning to walk!

Silly Girl

Elsie has discovered how to hold toys in her mouth with NO hands! She also is always folding her hands which makes her look so angelic...

This is a silly looking picture...but you can see what a tight grip she has...and you can see the little specks of her 2 front teeth...

We are a Family

Last weekend my mom took some family pictures of us. The last family pictures we had taken Elsie was just a few weeks old...now she is 6 months old already! I love the way Elsie has her hands folded in the one...and the innocent expression! so sweet...

Elsie is always such a happy girl! She always has a smile for everyone! My mom and I make a good team for taking pictures...I snap the the pictures of the perfect smile or pose and she stands behind me doing anything and everything for Elsie to look and smile!

A Little Princess Wave

Elsie is learning how to wave! She has a princess wave...she moves her wrist back and forth very slowly. She always looks so serious when waving...like she is really concentrating on moving that wrist!

There is a New Store in Town

Last week the new gluten-free grocery store opened up! perfect timing since we are going gluten-free. We have enjoyed trying some of the new foods. Jon has been busy baking chocolate cake and chocolate cupcakes...yum! We have also been enjoying pancakes, pasta, cookies, and hamburger helper...all gluten-free and so delicious!
We have also discovered that the restaurant "Black Bear" has a gluten free menu...so now I can enjoy a burger with a bun!
We also found some gluten-free baby teething crackers for Elsie. She eats them...but is not to sure about the texture. Look at the face she makes while rolling them around in her mouth...

Cousins

Elsie has a cousin! Keegan James...born April 28th. Last weekend we went down to the cities to meet the wee little babe for the first time.

such a sweet little baby...i think he looks like his mama...he makes Elsie look SO big! i miss the little baby stage already!

Elsie was such a little trooper...she slept all the way to the cities...and was such a happy girl while we were visiting...then she slept most of the way home again! She loves t go on car rides...she just watches out the window untill she falls asleep...

Elsie's favorite thing to play with is the newspaper and magazines...she prefers the "real thing" and not her little toy books!

6 months old

Elsie is now 6 months old...half of a year old! it seems unbelievably that she is that old already. It seems that she had always been part of our lives...yet at the same time it seems like only yesterday we were waiting for her to be born.
we love to watch her personality emerge more and more everyday. she can totally melt our hearts with her big eyes and a little smile! some of the things Elsie loves...
* loves to smile all the time!
* loves attention on her 100% of the time
* loves to eat anything and everything
* loves to reach for everything...mostly the newspaper and magazines as we read them
* loves to be outside...going for a walk or to swing in the swing at the swing set
* loves to play with her little aunties ad uncle
* loves to sleep all snuggled in between daddy and mommy
* loves to go on car rides and watch out the window
* loves to be rocked to sleep
* loved splashing in the bath
